A different kind of gift

Right now, there are amazing people helping amazing people to flourish. There are groups, like International Justice Mission, who right now are preparing to rescue families, young girls or boys, form slavery. There are groups like World Vision and Compassion that are helping families build farms to provide from themselves or dig wells so people don't have to travel miles for clean water. There are groups like Love146 and Nightlight who are helping girls who are survivors of rape for sale to thrive in their new life. Groups like Divine Inheritance are giving former children soldiers also thing they need for a new, vibrant life. Groups like Global Children's Movement and Every Child Ministries are empowering children to be who they are created to be, even when the world says they are nothing.
Many of these organizations offer us the opportunity to give  a different kind of gift.

You can buy a goat or chicks for a family in poverty. You can buy warm clothes for a former child soldier or the supplies for a Christmas party for them.

Check out these unusual gift guides under "Gifts of Charity" on this page or click on one of the links below and consider giving a powerful gift in the name of friends and family members.
These are all groups I support, but you can check out other groups you support and see if they have gift giving guides.
